You may already have a great support network in place but if you don't, here are some ideas to help you find supports and others to talk to who understand what it's like to be a new mother and are going through some of the same things you are! Unique postpartum classes for parents and children. The Mothering Circle-For New Mothers and Their Babies Birth to 6 Months...Come together to share the story of your parenting journey, receiving support, guidance and inspiration. Each week a topic will be discussed such as cloth diapering, infant massage, baby wearing, nurturing yourself, relationship changes, as well as time to discuss your own needs and wishes. The group is facilitated by Ellen Kunkle who is a doula, childbirth educator and breastfeeding counselor. Through home visitation and mailings, Healthy Families provides child development and resource information to support parents as they begin their parenting journey. Healthy Families offers playgroups that are open to all families in the community.
