Perinatal mood disorders not only effect a new mother; they effect her husband or partner as well.  Many new father's don't know where to turn when their wife or partner has a perinatal mood disorder.  Most want to help but simply don't know how.  Below are some websites and books that can help you as you navigate the waters of perinatal mood disorders as a new father.  We believe, not only for mothers, but for their partners as well that.............

Postpartum Dads....www.postpartumDADS.org  This is a great website for dads looking for information and resources to help them better understand perinatal mood disorders, how to help care for their partner, and most importantly, how to care for THEMSELVES through this difficult time.

Postpartum Husband: Practical Solutions for Living with Postpartum Depression......Karen Kleinman (2003) This book was written specifically with men in mind.  The book is written in bulleted format to make it an easy and quick read for today's busy dad.  This book comes highly recommended by many specialist in the perinatal mood disorders field.  Click here for more information or to order the book. 

Baby Center....www.babycenter.com  This is a great site that has a lot of information and resources for expecting as well as current dads.  Some great pages include:
