Caretakers, legislator push for awareness of motherhood myths, postpartum depression

February 24, 2007 -- The Journal Tribune's Weekend edition featured The Perinatal Mental Health Alliance of Southern Maine in their front page article.  The article talked about the alliance's work in creating local support for mother's with perinatal mood disorders as well as the alliance's push for the passage of LD 792, a bill that would mandate depression screening for all pregnant women throughout pregnancy and up to one year after delivery.
